Glenfinnan
This is a very popular location to see The Jacobite passing over the viaduct. At the north end of Loch Shiel there is some excellent scenery, with good walking and cycling opportunities. There is a wonderful bicycle trip down Loch Shiel to Polloch for the more energetic. You could take a cruise on the Loch and hopefully view the Sea Eagles. Loch Shiel Cruises has various trip options which run April through to October. They depart from the pier close to Glenfinnan House Hotel where the parking is free for clients. On the shoreline stands the monument dedicated to the Jacobite uprising. The National Trust runs the site and there is a visitor centre, café and parking. Be aware that parking is a huge issue because of the Hogwarts/Jacobite enthusiasts.
