Corrour to Spean Bridge walk

This is a very fine walk from Corrour to Spean Bridge, which could be done in the other direction.   There are not many trains so some thought needs to be given to direction and times that suit best.  It is 15 miles (19km) achieving a maximum elevation of 460m and taking 7-8 hours.   For the walk described we rode the early train from Spean to Corrour.    There are signposts at Corrour and again at the derelict Creaguaineach Lodge, but it is a fairly obvious and straightforward route.   The trail initially follows the railway line back to Loch Trieg.  It can be a bit boggy until you reach the unmade road that then takes you to the loch and then the old lodge.   After a break by the lodge head north a short way to a footbridge over the Allt na Lairige.  There are two trails one each side of the river, both which follow the old drovers way called the Larig Leacach.  We did not cross the footbridge and took the left side which looked easier on the map.   Just occasionally this trail got a little intermittent but presented no difficulties.   At the Larig Bothy the two trails come together and this area provides a fine lunch stop right below Stob Ban.  After this we joined a unmade road which leads all the way to the Coire Chollie Farm.   Once reaching the farm a tarmac road takes you back to the Spean Bridge railway station.
